As Tankshal has undergone rapid commercialization the decontextualized growth has led to a loss of sense of place and the area has become increasingly homogenized resulting in the loss of its unique character. The loss of physical form caused by haphazard construction resulted in a change in the social and cultural fabric. The projects aims to understand the rapid change, the threats it entails on the fabric and propose strategies that allow systematic transformation that does not compromise with the urban fabric. This project develops from Group Work conducted as a part of studio processes that preceded individual lines of inquiry.
