A Hollow Warmth

The text from the book 'The Poetics of Space' by Gaston Bachelard provided visual genesis for creating my dwelling- 'A Hollow Warmth' located in the frozen winter land of French Alps. Inspired from the pecked nest of a woodpecker, the dwelling represents the hollow warmth in winter. Series of exercises are done in order to broaden the understanding of texture, materiality, interior and exterior dynamics and topography - ultimately to build the metaphorical dwelling.
