low stool | side table | kids desk

The studio focused on Bringing together the idea of ‘Retailing’ and ‘Brand Building’. Keeping this in mind three products with different constraints were designed following the design language and principles of IKEA. Low stool - The first product is a low stool made using a 1.2mm MS sheet which is laser cut and bent and consists of 6 parts, it is assembled using fasteners. Side table - The second product is a side table with the additional function of accommodating a bedside/ laptop table. The intent was to keep the frame lightweight and to combine the two elements to make it more functional. Kids desk - The third product is a kid's desk that grows vertically and horizontally as the child grows from the age of 2 to 10. It consists of three main panels with holes in a grid pattern at 10cm intervals to which the tabletop, drawers, and shelves are attached. To upgrade the table for the growing needs of the child the accessories can be repurchased.
