SPACE DESIGN

OBJECTIVE: To design a space from an object
OBJECT- Bell DESIGNED SPACE- Stupa
DESIGN CONCEPT:  the thought behind visualizing bell as stupa is to strike a resemblance with spiritual places in buddhist architecture.  The interior volumetric space with deity in the centre represents cycle of life while the outer structure represents enlightening. Each component of bell is depicted as an element of stupa like the clapper as the deity and the holding rod as the tree of life.
TOTAL AREA: 124m^2 approx
SITE PLAN:  site surrounded by water where visitors can circumambulate .land patches around site for meditators.Bridges connecting land patches and stupa.
