Safe and Secure Water Supply in Slum/Chali

The urban sector in India is currently facing the biggest challenge in providing basic services like water supply to the increasing population. Slum population is covered in individual tap connections but the quality and accessibility of water is still a concern for Indian cities. Ahmedabad has reported the issues related the water quality and equity in the slum community. According to a primary survey slums people do not use any purification techniques and face water contamination and water stress. This project will focus on technical, social, institutional, and financial solutions for the availability and accessibility of water supply, the better quality of water in slums, educate, empower the community, and surveillance of quality of water which will ensure safe and secure water supply in slum communities.
