Artificial Groundwater Recharge Plan

The main objective of artificial recharge is to store excess water in underground aquifers during times of surplus that can be recovered during periods of water scarcity.   The accessible part of groundwater in Ahmedabad is being used by people extensively and this has led to the lowering of groundwater table, making it more and more difficult to access. there is also the more worrisome problem of groundwater pollution and the degradation in its quality. The only source of aquifer recharge is rainwater but it drain out unused
