Embark - Intermodal Transit Centre

The project 'Embark' is an intermodal transit centre designed in Chhota Udepur, Gujarat, India. The aim was to provide a green buffer between the transit centre and the road so that the people inside the transit centre can relax and avoid the pollution from the streets. The bus and train functions are separated and arranged parallel to each other for the passage of vehicles.  The transit centre designed here uses a lightweight roof, the variation in space is used to show its public character. The built mass and the greenery compliments each other rather than being separate.
