The project was to build a transit housing kit for the transit settlement in AES ground Ahmedabad. The design should instill a feeling of belongingness in the heart of evicted people and they should not feel that they are transferred again to a new transit camp as they have been transferring for the last 16 years. Typically, these structures are temporary, but false promises from the government to provide pakka houses are not uncommon, and in most cases, these transit camps become permanent settlements for generations. Click here to see the full portfolio
