(DE) COLLAGE

The project '(DE)COLLAGE' forms observations around the various groups that are more vulnerable in a post-COVID scenario. It aims to look at various perceptions and meanings attached to streets and their use by the selected vendor groups on site. The idea is to make the space as a connector and a destination, not a place people hurry on their way to other parts of SG highway. To do this, the further design intervention was chosen in the prominent activity generator area near Titanium Square. It is a high-end commercial space that doesn’t allow inclusivity for these vendors to operate their business. Through a robust open space framework and urban design strategy, the plan transforms places previously dominated by cars into places for people, while creating a clearly defined space for vending markets.
