INTEGRATED TOWNSHIP AT LAPKAMAN

With the increasing need for housing in cities, the housing stock in major Indian cities like Ahmedabad are often marked by unsanitary, crowded, unhealthy and unpleasant living condition. There is a glaring lack of open public places as well. While certain city level spaces like community grounds exist, they are majorly used only during festivals. Easily accessible open spaces are missing from the picture. In the absence of such spaces, there is a lack of opportunity for enhancing the daily social life and lifestyle of people. therefore, the goal for this township is to create an interconnected network of open spaces leading to an enhanced lifestyle. The key contributors in achieving this goal would be a  variety of green spaces with different activities at different levels of hierarchy and a robust network of green spaces to enhance NMT connectivity.
