The project is under topic of Smart City Mission India for Panaji City. Patto which is new Central Business District of Panaji lacks vibrancy, activity and liveliness unlike the CBD area of other cities and other areas within the Panaji city. Patto is a monotonous district with majority of offices. Patto becomes inactive and unsafe after office hours and gets disconnected from the city. The project aim is to re-imagine Patto as a Vibrant Central Business District for which objectives are to develop active and appropriate public open spaces utilizing physical assets along with mixed use district. Built identity to the district. Structured parking and movement plan. The proposal includes Rio de Ourem creek revitalization, strong connection of pedestrian to city bus station, activating Dr. Ambedkar Park and capturing undeveloped land parcel. Also proposed strategies for urban blocks which aims at increasing porosity and appropriate built for enhancing mixed use development will develop Patto as a Vibrant Central Business District.
