The city is the form and symbol of an integrated social relationship. It is the seat of the temple, the market, the hall of justice and the academy of learning (Lewis Mumford). The 21st century is largely influenced by the urban living like never before. Around half of the world population are cities occupants/habitants. As the population increases in the city, suburbs occur to cope up with the demand of residential and commercial activity of the city. Vejalpur lies in the south western part of Ahmedabad, in which all the stages of growth was observed.
