Homogeneity of the Developing Suburbs of Thaltej

Ahmedabad is a growing city where the peripheral areas have developed rapidly to be at par with the CBD of the city. Thaltej, a suburban area has witnessed a major transformation in the past two decades. The organised and planned suburban areas with better infrastructure and less population density is becoming more preferable for those who are willing to shift to the edge for better living standards. However, various other factors have led to these fringes in becoming homogenous in nature, with respect to the built mass, composition and demography. This publication would analyse these factors and their effects.
