Industrialization leads to Urbanization

Agriculture as main occupation in 1880s, farmers were not getting better profits, so they started selling their lands to the private owners or builders and slowly and steadily people started to settle there and worked in industries for their daily livelihood. Accordingly naroda gam came into existence. Builders started to construct schemes like semi-detached, row houses and very less number of apartments. As time passed there was a huge attraction towards industrial sector for more job opportunities, better employment, so they started shifting to naroda gam later which is known as old Naroda to the left side of the canal.
