The portfolio focuses on unfolding the layers of Vatva, an area located in the southeast part of Ahmedabad and finding out the answers as to why it is called as a resettlement and rehabilitation hub, a distinctive feature of the area as it has 7 resettlement sites, so as to understand the image of the precinct as to how the land markets function in Vatva, what are the key factors affecting the building typologies, the predominant land-use, and the job centers which are mainly created by the industrial influence in that area. Further discovering how the present scenario is like in the resettled areas on the basis of physical aspects which consist of infrastructural facilities to moving forward on the inhabitants as to how they are making a livelihood and making a compromise on their traveling patterns and housing choices in Vatva.
