A Heterogeneous Self-Sustained Neighborhood

An overview of the city indicates that the western fringe of Ahmedabad grew after the construction of the Ellis Bridge which connected the East to the West and helped with easier connectivity. Navrangpura started developing in the early 50’s and was one of the first areas to get developed. Over the past 2 decades, Navrangpura has developed in terms of built form, infrastructure and has had major ecological changes.Navrangpura overall has a very vibrant and safe atmosphere and in spite of the residential construction being very old, people are not moving towards the outskirts or neighboring areas of the city as Navrangpura caters to many activities and essentials one needs.
