The neighborhood around Thaltej Gamtal has undergone the process of peri urbanization and has seen a great transformation over the last two decades. This transformation has led to the formation of a very diverse neighborhood with contrasting characteristics. The Gamtal is still distinctly seen amidst the newer development due to the stark difference in culture. Socially, the Gamtals are much more active with constant interaction, further leading to safer streets whereas the newer development is very calm and organized. This difference in the nature of the spaces is seen primarily due to the difference in lifestyle of these communities.
