Ghodasar: An Inclusive Residential Neighbourhood

This portfolio delves into the thematic exploration within an old residential neighborhood of Ahmadabad to understand the imbalance between the livelihoods and living standards of the people who live there. There is a fundamental dissonance between where the people lie in the economic strata and their ability to live that kind of life. It is  majorly due to the spatial constraints that Ghodasar presents itself with. This manifests in a way where the residents are borrowing from the community and taking as much as they can into the private lands. In the process the quality of life of the residents is affected. The basis of this study is to understand how Ghodasar as a precicnt responds to the growing needs of the people who live there.
