Rajarampuri: A Growth Towards Mixed Urban Development

The portfolio focuses on the key findings that were studied on the 1 sq. km precinct located between Rajarampuri-Shahupuri through aspects of urban planning and design. This study was carried by physical survey and qualitative analysis. Different aspects and fundamentals of history and evolution, street connectivity, land-use and built form, infrastructure services, public realm, jobs and livelihood, housing, and transportation was analyzed with respect to the selected 1 sq. km area. Under this study, the theme of mixed urban development was selected and studied in detail to the above-mentioned aspects. The theme: A growth towards mixed urban development focuses on how the mixed urban development has evolved in Rajarampuri-Shahupuri, what is causing this mix, and how it is affected. Also, the degree of diversity was also measured to understand the heterogeneity. Therefore, this hypothesis analyses the growth towards mixed urban development paradigm and related aspects in the 1 sq. km area of Rajarampuri- Shahupuri.
