In the city of Ahmedabad, certain areas were selected for conducting detailed study suggested by a working advisory group. Thaltej being one of the neighborhoods selected was the main focus of the study. Thaltej is located on the western most part of the Sabarmati River. The area is a residential neighborhood and has transformed over the years from rural to a suburb area. The study was focused on the 1 sq km area of Thaltej. The portfolio aims to provide a thorough study of the aspects of Thaltej like the historical evolution and transformation, street network, diverse built form and various land uses, connectivity and available jobs, infrastructure services and what are the people’s income and housing choices in the 1 sq km of Thaltej.
