The Development and Declination: A Case of Nikol

The transition of Nikol from farmlands to a leading developing suburb of Ahmedabad can be attributed to migration and the influence of industries and transportation. The acceleration of development of the region can be further attributed to the expansion of governing body’s boundaries, intervention of government policies and subsidies and the public transportation planning. This has allowed Nikol to become a major affordable housing residential hub, which allows people from all straights of lives to come and exist together, and create a conducive environment for the surrounding industrial estates.
