Transit-Oriented Urbanisation in Periphery of Chennai

This project focusses on Transit-Oriented Development in the Periphery of Chennai and its deviations from the NTOD policy objectives. The present scenario of the precinct is studied on various different aspects such as Land Use, Built form, Road Network and Public Realms and the is scrutinised if the infrastructure developed conforms to the NTOD policy objectives. Furthermore, the study also focuses on qualitative elements that are absent in the precinct that hinders the formation of sustainable neighbourhood.
