Sankdi Sheri area falls under the walled city of Ahmedabad which has received the UNESCO world heritage and is a matter of pride. But over the years the area is showing a declining interest towards the conservation of the heritage fabric which has resulted in the over all deterioration of the area. As a result apt interventions are required to promote conservation and initiate rejuvenation. This calls for a local area plan which would give residents reasons to conserve their heritage properties and stay within the area.
