Exploring Indigenous Construction Techniques

We often use concrete and bricks as our main building materials. But by time to time we are forgetting the indigenous construction materials which are much stronger, durable and environmental friendly. The studio  covers main three indigenous construction materials which includes mud, stone and bamboo. Each student were given each material as part of their each exercise, which enables students to get the knowledge about the main indigenous materials apart from concrete and bricks. The model making processes by using each material gives students an experience of unique challenges faced on the actual site.
