This studio will explore a design process that begins with the understanding that the detail is the generator of design. Character feel and experience of space are embedded in the way in which materials are put together to form unique expressions. The focus of the studio will be on the relationship between materials, details, and language of the built form. The materials chosen for this semester are bamboo, wood.
