Describing Spaces

The exercise focuses on developing the ability to observe carefully a space, paying close attention to architectural elements--to the extent to which the students are familiar with these. The description of the space, whether broad or defined thematically, must consider the appropriate sequence which would enable a reader to visualize the space. The exercise develops the ability to work with image and text to support each other and communicate a sense of the physical qualities of the space as well as the user experience.
