Shab'ab : Memories & Associations as a Design Driver

Architectural creative process fueled by remembering and re-associating with memories through critical analysis, iterative exploration, and reflective understandings. Finding its roots in the understanding of how bodies move and minds experience mass and voids, ideas from the Secret Place were taken forward to the design of My Childhood Home for 4 members, located in Doha, Qatar, which then grew out into a Youth Centre, Shab'ab, a program aimed at bringing about inter-cultural mingling through the youth as a medium, while also providing a platform to the children during their crucial years to take on responsibility, accountability etc, while also empowering them with the freedom of their own space where they could be associated with.
