ORIGAMI FLASHER DEPLOYABLE FURNITURE

The studio intended to explore the potential of deployable systems of scissor and origami mechanisms to design user-defined multi-functional furniture/ interior element which enhances the existing activities and user experience within a given context. The site selected for the project is my home. The deployable element is inspired from an origami form named Origami Flasher. It can be locked in different configurations and used as a stool/ center table/ chair/ chair with extended table or as a semi partition. This furniture gives user the opportunity to form different configurations and use them as per the need.
