Agra, also known as the City of Taj is situated on the western bank of the Yamuna River in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is richly famous for its history and small scale to large scale industries. Maharshi Puram Ward in Hari Parvat Zone is selected for a detailed study of functions taken up by Agra Municipal Corporation. 
Observations and surveys of various municipal services have been done, after which street lighting is identified as a major issue area. Gaps are analyzed for which proposals have been given to improve its management, after doing the benchmark study.
