This report focuses on the management scheme of the premise. The selected premise was a non-gated residential rural area, situated at Chandrakona Road in West Bengal, India. It is coming under gram panchayat office 5, Garhbeta block III, Paschim Medinipur district. The main purpose of the report is to identify the available and unavailable facilities in this premise, then study the facilities like electrical supply, water supply, drainage system, solid waste management, medical facilities, toilet and housing facility for EWS group, governance structure etc. and how all facilities are being managed inside the premise by which department. The process is to identify the gaps of the facilities and analyse those by gap assessment and root cause analysis; study the best practices regarding the identified issues and then propose some management oriented solutions as per the local and central government norms and guidelines to improve the quality of rural life. To understand the basic statement of the premise, primary and secondary sources, case studies and best practices were required to support the proposals. Primary survey, interviews, site and people activities and observations have been noted down to identify the gaps within this premise. After the primary information collections, government rules and regulations, norms and guidelines for this premise has been studied as the secondary collection sources. After detailed study of this information, gap analysis for some concerned facility area of this premise, solutions were proposed with the support of these references. In the larger picture, the issues were mainly identified in this premise, was the communication gap of the local people and gram panchayat office. Lack of awareness and lack of concern of the gram panchayat office is the main issue for the improper facilities. The aim of the report is to improve the quality of the life by proposing solutions of the identified issues, which will be cost effective, long lasting and environment friendly. The different types of people would be benefited with those sustainable management-oriented solutions.
