This studio is focused on exploring the potential of steel, perhaps the most remarkable of these industrial materials invented in the later 19thcentury. This studio was about designing and analyzing steel structures and their behavior. In this studio, I have learned that the process of creating or imagining a concept is very important. Though the results are of the same essence but the process to get through the final concept is where most of the learnings happen. Through this studio, I have inculcated the vision of creating spaces, arranging them and making the spaces interactive and sensitive to human environment. The vital technical understandings of how a structure behaves, its load transfer mechanism and joinery has helped in refining my knowledge of materials and their composition. Through the study of work of modern masters of architecture and engineering in steel provided an understating of how their work depended on a profound understanding of the physical, chemical properties and structural potential of steel.
