"Redefining" Workplaces

The context for the observation, Ashram road, the oldest road of the city and a major financial hub is struggling to survive due to a lack of social networks and activities within the commercial sector. It is observed that the majority of the buildings are non-affordable, occupied, sold out, or completely outdated. In response to the scenario, the project offers a co-working space with a library to create a shift in the characteristic of the mundane office culture through flexible and adaptive working patterns in order to "revitalize" the workplaces. The architectural intent of the project is to blur the imaginary enclosure of different typologies of spaces giving way to open accessibility, providing a seamless transitional use. The building shall be an amalgamation of interactive and collaborative pockets spaced out vertically at multiple levels. The project integrates horizontal inserts, breaking the verticality of the structure, thus creating an experience of connectivity, physically and visually throughout.
