A Community Space, Mandu | Spaces Amidst Spans

The project is the outcome of a series of explorations and multiple iterative processes with the combination of materials: Brick, and Brick and R.C.C with an idea of supported and supporting spaces. After in-depth analysis, the learnings are manifested in a project which is a community space based in the Jamniya Village, Mandu, Madhya Pradesh. The project is a reinterpretation of a gateway to the existing structure which sites strongly along the existing pathway on the site, amidst the dense grove of trees. The spans and the in-between spaces work simultaneously in order to respond to the program for the community.
