The project focuses on establishing the importance of the building - street edge as a significant contributing character of the settlement pattern of the walled city of Ahmedabad by mapping the current street activities and patterns in the study area.The mapping establishes the uniqueness of the urban settlement plan and helps in developing proposals to regenerate the character.This project looks into reviving the old street culture of communal bondages by reusing the threshold spaces to accommodate the evolving and developing nature of the urban area of tankshal.This project develops from GroupWork conducted as a part of studio processes that preceded individual lines of inquiry.
