Geotechnical Investigation and Bridge Foundation Design

The studio started with familiarizing the concepts of geotechnical engineering and foundation design. We collected soil samples from various places in Gujarat and then tested them to find their index and shear strength properties. Also performing tests for clayey soil with additives for soil improvement. Properties found from laboratory testing were then used to design a foundation system for a bridge in three different loadings.
