The studio dwells around the problem of planning and designing a suitable road alignment in hilly region where natural and built environment effects can be influential. The studio has explored the problem of road alignment optimization for the Idar region in Gujarat. At first the purpose of proposing a route was selected and an alignment was plotted. This alignment went through modifications in terms of comfort, safety, cost, material & environmental impact.
