AR2024

crowning curves

The studio takes on the program of an artist’s residence and homestay. Tackling the climatic issues faced while being responsive to the site and its context is what the project aims to achieve. Situated in the cold and dry town of Leh, the project was generated from the concept of occupiable sun spaces, the project proposes a geodesic structure with the ground floor being responsive to the site and the first to the sun. The dome caps the space, making a warm bubble to beat the harsh winter wrath.
