Urban Housing design in India

Spatial studies on urban housing in India is in a nascent stage. This is due to the complex nature of variables that influence spatial decision making. There are no parallels to studies like Housing design and society in Amsterdam, and a history of housing in New York city in the Indian context. Nikhil Rao’s house without a garden probably comes closest to it. This research is an attempt in this direction.
