MAT Learn aims to evolve a new approach towards learning and education, where spaces for interactive learning which promote the holistic development of a child can be developed. Under the guise of discipline, the school system limits the creative development of children. This new approach towards education will allow a child to learn with freedom of expression while at the same time maintaining the attitude and discipline necessary for development as an individual. Interplay is a high-rise educational institution with the capacity to accommodate 880 students and 80 teaching and non-teaching staff. Pockets of informal interaction spaces are interspersed between formal classroom spaces vertically, to allow a balance between work and play. The formal learning spaces do not follow a typical classroom layout, but incorporate spaces essential to the development of students within the formal area itself.
