The land that springs into life with the onset of the monsoon hastily gets reduced to parched grasslands. There exists a striking contrast between the seasons which is also reflected in the livelihood of the native forest dependent tribes. The dependencies between the communities during the resourceful monsoons eventually become conflicts in the later drier periods. This insufficiency can be an outcome of the recent shift from the traditional conventions. On the other side almost half of the available land is categorized as barren/uncultivated and yields little to the community. Can these barrens be used in a better way? Can these barrens redefine the conflicts that exist between the communities? Embedding alternatives will be an attempt to widen the resourceful period of the communities and to redefine the lost dependencies between them. These systemic interventions can be replicated in other barrens which will enrich the homeland.
