Repurposing barges - Wetlabs & Training facility

Repurposing of broken barges can be done by sinking them in the ocean to form artificial reefs. This process of sinking to create artificial reefs happens through carefully sinking a hull on the ocean floor. It needs testing facilities to determine if the abandoned barge is worthy of sinking, location of drop, bilge water disposal, study of coral reefs, etc.The sourcing team would procure ships that are beyond repair (those which have no profit margin post scrapping or upscaling). The proposal develops a space for decommissioning the barge - Dry dock (expensive to build for non-daily usage), hence dry dock will be rented. Sources of revenue generation would be the institute with learning centers to educate about ship pollution and coral ecosystems. Other sources of revenue generation will be from tourism related to scuba diving and boating facilities owned by the institute.
