Restoring Khazans

Khazan ecosystems are reclaimed wetlands with mangroves, salt pans, fish ponds, and agricultural fields. It is an native system of integrated aquaculture and agriculture. Activities like mining, ship building and shipwreking are leading to water contamination and eventually the ecosystem of Khazans. These degraded khazans become barren if not intervened. The program comes through as a system of RESTORE, GROWTH AND KNOWLEDGE triangle, all interdependent on each other that address the larger concern of the Khazans. To ensure the working of this system, the program provides facilities such as a space for storage of commodities, facilities for testing and research supported by a community space.
