Adapting Patterns

In the vivid art forms of India, we have made an effort to dive deep into their details. Studying pattachitra, applique work, embroideries of Santalpur and more; while bringing our illustrative strengths into the picture, we created various storyboards. "Stitching Spaces" is an illustration that surrealistically blends the patterns of workspaces and habituated embroidery. "Adapting Patterns" is based on the Sadu Bharat embroidery craft and it's significance in the earthquake of 2001. Such large scale works helped us experiment and learn about graphics, exhibition spaces and crafts of Gujarat.
