Jivadori

The entire studio focuses on devlpoing ties between artisans and students. It helps one gain sensitivity towards crafts and the backstories of the artisans involved in it. It is a 'jivadori' for the craft people, which literally means lifeline in Gujarati. It is a mode of expression for people, it is love, it is emotions. Craft is very deeply embedded in many aspects of the artisans' life. The studio helped in empathising with these aspects and realising its importance. Despite the success received from crafts, the artisans are rooted to their culture.
