Layered Interiority - Sikkim Scenescapes

Sikkim witnesses beautiful landscapes that are transient and everchanging. the layers of these landscapes offer one a beautiful understanding of the combined experience. Layered symphony explores this concept in detail, first understanding these layers and then translating them to form a layered interior landscape. The design borrows cues, materials,  and techniques from nature going hand in hand with the craftsmanship of the locals.

The reception space reveals itself through layers to view the Kanchenjunga to the north thus providing with a layered experience

The reception becomes a welcoming space for the guests, wherein each layer reveals itself as one moves further in the space. the layered views are guided by volume play

Restaurant is spaced in a triple heighted setting, offering layered views to the landscape.

The rooftop bar offers the layered experience through opaque and translucent layers

Sectional perspective of the guest building shows the layered volumes and elements incorporating the reception lounge, restaurant, bar and banquet.

The villa is divided into zones that offers the layered experience in a small volume

The layered experience is offered in the villa by user experience at different heights. The villa uses craftsmanship of Lepcha weave and and wood working tools.
