Door Handle Design for Cancer Hospital

Cancer Patients face the most stressful time of their lives which includes stressors involving all of their senses. They feel immense pain, their taste changes, they get incredibly sensitive to the smells, especially that of hospitals and also face mental health issues. Thus, the places they go to for treatment enhance all these issues, even more so with the cold and sterile environment, hard benches to sit on, constant smell of disinfectant, etc. This project is aimed at government cancer hospitals and attempts to provide a sense of warmth and calm in one of the most cold and anxiety inducing places, visually and physically to the cancer patients. The project starts by trying to understand the issues faced by the cancer patients, then moves on to figuring out a possible solution that can be provided. At each stage of product development, user feedback was taken incorporated in the design.
