Architecture speaks of the time and aesthetics of its place. Estrangement re-establishes our relationship with the conventional techniques and aesthetics of the interior architecture discipline. As architecture is the ultimate tangible relation of humans to the real world, the discipline sometimes thrives for recognition. Architecture is a representation of reality and reality is driven by the perception of things and their aesthetics. Estrangement is an expression which changes or challenges our perception and relation with reality. The research inquires about the techniques and aesthetics of estrangement. It establishes the notion of perceiving real and its qualities through various scales projects from literature and paintings to interior architectural objects and urban elements.
