JOSHO

The intent of this project was to create a spacial element/ furniture product inspired by the Fibonacci arrangement system followed by Yellow Oyster Mushrooms. The structure facilitates various comfortable reading postures integrated, with bookshelves to provide a unique reading experience. The form was developed based on circulation pattern, athro study and efficiency of space usage. A frame structure was chosen as the construction method to reduce material wastage and the structure's self-weight; moreover, its joineries/nodes were developed as a part of a self-assembly system that can be easily assembled on-site with a minimum requirement of advanced tools.
