MODULAR STAIRCASE SYSTEMS

To Identify, Design and Develop building products which defines special transit between two levels in indoor or outdoor. This transit would be modular Staircase Systems, which are self-supporting, pre-fabricated, should be flexible to fit in any layout and adjustable to any space. Study of existing Staircase Systems, select space to identify the need and the design opportunity to develop a new product or redesign the existing product to improve its function, aesthetic design etc. and expectations of the user. Students will be introduced to use product design consideration such as form, aesthetic detailing etc. and design process to be able apply them while designing the products. Explore the potential of design with the elements of System thinking. By design and detail development, one will be able to translate the idea in to a tangible product a prototype and manufacture them. User feedback and product validation.
