Land Development Model for Delhi's Periphery

Land Pooling Policy 2018 in Delhi reflects roadblocks in its planning guidelines and charges levied on the landowners. This has led to a delay in its implementation and a subsequent city expansion in the form of an unplanned sprawl towards the periphery! Thus, the academic exercise reviews the Policy and the supporting plans like Zonal Development Plan 2021, including the road network and regulation approach. On the basis of the observations, an alternative method of Land Pooling Land Readjustment is explored, and proposals are made spatially as well. Then, comparisons are drawn between the conventional and proposed approach.
